The short doco THE PUB THAT SELLS MORE BOOKS THAN BEER is about amateur historian Douglas Barrie, the publican of the Seymour Hotel. The Seymour Hotel is only 3km from the Bruce Highway. So next time you are in the area stop by for a story. Douglas says the pub is staying in the old days – no mobile phones, no pokies. Just good old fashioned conversation and some diabolical puzzles if you are in the mood.

A “Behind the Scenes” look at the Families of Townsville street art project displayed as part of T150 and The Percivals in June and July, 2016. Townsville City Council Gallery Services in partnership with the LensCap Crew have taken historical portraiture to the streets; share the experiences of the project team as they trace the history of some of Townsville’s founding families.
This ‘Behind the Scenes’ video was produced by LensCap to thank the families for sharing their memories and time with us and to create a ‘digital story’ format for the project for the researchers.
