Gianna Moscardo, Laurie Murphy and myself presented a workshop on co-creating tourism experiences. Storytelling and facilitating visitor stories is one way to create great memorable experiences for visitors to north Queensland. We spent the day in Charters Towers with local business people and tourist organisations to discover how stories can be united by themes that excite the locals and tourists. It’s a different way of thinking and aligns with social media and travel trends.
